RELIGIOUS SOCIETIES
Christian Group
Pupils and staff come together to find out more about the Christian Faith, ask questions, pray, play games and eat snacks, while getting to know each other better. Open to all year groups. A Sixth Form prayer group also runs at breaktime.
Hindu Society
Pupils come together to discuss all aspects of Hinduism and South Asian Culture. You have the opportunity to learn about and celebrate festivals throughout the year and try some delicious Indian food. Topics of discussion range from “the caste system” and “marriage” to “vegetarianism” and “enlightenment”. Last year we also joined Dance Club for some Bollywood dancing. Hindu society is a group where members of the South Asian community can feel welcome, but also for all pupils to learn more about the culture and the Hindu way of life. Open to all year groups.
Islamic Society (ISoc)
ISoc welcomes students from all backgrounds to explore and learn about the rich traditions of Islam. Together, we explore the Five Pillars of Islam, celebrate key Islamic events, learn about influential Muslim figures throughout history, and even test our knowledge with engaging trivia sessions! We meet every fortnight and look forward to seeing you. Open to all year groups.
Jewish Society (JSoc)
JSoc welcomes pupils from all faiths to come together to discuss aspects of Jewish life, festivals, culture and charitable initiatives. We have weekly speakers who visit and lots of delicious food from pizza to doughnuts. We meet every Monday lunchtime. For further information please speak to Mrs Ginsburg or Mrs Macmull. Open to all year groups.
Sikh Society
Everyone welcome! Come and be part of the Sikh Faith Group, a friendly and inclusive space where you can explore Sikh beliefs, heritage, and culture. Whether you follow the Sikh faith or are simply curious to learn more, everyone is welcome no matter your background. We meet to share ideas, ask questions, and celebrate the core Sikh values of equality, service, and respect. It’s a great place to connect, learn, and grow together.
