This year we invited students (and staff) to research and write about History which particularly resonates with them. This could be an event which directly impacted their family, the history of a place or their heritage, or even of an interest or passion. Events in the last few years continue to demonstrate the relevance of History in understanding our place in the world and we hoped that the contributions would reflect this.
We were not disappointed – we have been so impressed with the wide range of superbly researched articles, covering everything from family experiences in War, to Dark Age Denmark to the Jazz Age in the USA (and much else!). Our thanks go to all the contributors who shared their passions and interests and to the Student Editors who worked hard to put this edition together – particularly the Lower Sixth Form Team, Sufyan, Samuel and Katia.
We really hope you enjoy reading the Chronicle - perhaps some of the articles resonate with you and your History.
