DUKE OF EDINBURGH 'S GOLD AWARD
On 7 July, 25 Sixth Form pupils travelled to the Lake District to complete their Duke of Edinburgh’s (DofE) Gold Award Assessed Expedition. They faced four days of walking over challenging terrain, sometimes walking for up to twelve hours a day and passing over mountains including High Tove and Glaramara. The mixed weather during the trip (including lightening storms) meant that routes had to be adapted to ensure safety, changing the nature of the challenges they had to face.
We offer our heartfelt congratulations to all of the participants for completing this challenging section of the DofE Gold Award and look forward to seeing them complete the remaining sections in due course.
