PIANO CONCERT AT STEINWAY HALL
As an All-Steinway School, we have an excellent ongoing relationship with Steinway Pianos. Some of our pupils were invited to Steinway Hall in London for a tour of the facility (including a piano repair workshop) and to give a concert. Pupils experienced playing on a Steinway “Sospiri”, which played their own performance back to them, and the Steinway Model D used in the BBC Proms.
In the evening, ten of our best pianists gave an impressive recital, attended by select guests including their parents. On the basis of his performance, Peter (U6) has been invited to a masterclass with leading pianist and Guildhall professor Charles Owen.
