CHARITY EVENTS

On the day two giant pandas were returned to China from Edinburgh Zoo, the Green Council held a raffle and bamboo sale to highlight alternatives to plastic, with profits going to the World Wide Fund for Nature. The winning ticket drawn from the hat was from First Former Keev, who was delighted to become the new guardian of a panda soft toy! Thank you to Keev and to all who supported the sale.

Mrs Coudert's annual Christmas sale in aid of Kelvin and his community in Sierra Leone returned for its 11th year this year! Fifth Form pupils from Mrs Coudert's form ran a stall selling baked goods, donuts and sweets, and Nurse Gemma Mailing made a chocolate fudge cake which was auctioned off to raise a generous £100.

The Lower School enjoyed several raucous games of football as part of a 5-a-side tournament in aid of WaterAid.

We have been collecting for Lutonkind and St Albans and District Foodbank; our First to Third Formers brought in food goods (filling up 30 crates!) and our Fourth to Sixth Form donated coats.

Our final three charity events this month have included two more bake sales for Cancer Research and The OLLIE Foundation, and our annual Christmas Jumper Day in aid of Cancer Research and Scope.
