A MONSTER CALLS

The School play this year was A Monster Calls and taking part was a very enjoyable experience. We had an amazing group of people who took part and made the experience, including rehearsals and the whole process leading up to the show, very memorable for me. My favourite part in the play was the scene towards the end. Despite how emotionally heavy those final scenes were to perform, I found them to be the most impactful for not only the audience but for myself as well. In those final scenes, I was most comfortable to give a performance with a high level of emotion in order to convey the very moving atmosphere that was needed in the finale.

A Monster Calls was emotional, powerful, and meaningful. I loved playing the part of Mum- touching into my own emotions and experiences, then expressing them through theatre to tell a beautiful yet heartbreaking story. The cast felt like a family.

I was honoured to be part of such a dramatic and impactful production. It was exhilarating to be given the opportunity to act on stage in front of a live audience. Mrs Drucker was a fantastic Director and I thoroughly enjoyed all the rehearsals.
