On Tuesday 12 December, the Netball 1st team faced local rivals St Albans High School in their last game of the season. The team started with confidence, executing excellent patterns of play and circle entries converted into goals. However, the team became rattled by their opponents and heads began to drop. After a productive team talk and some changes in positions, the team reacted positively and narrowed the High Schools lead to just two. Exceptional performances were demonstrated throughout by all, but decision making under pressure forced some mistakes that could not be recovered from. This marks the end of a very successful season, with a tour to Barbados increasing the dynamic and cohesion of this group of players significantly which has undoubtedly contributed to their success.
