In our latest Abbey assembly, pupils and staff processed beneath Peter Walker’s ‘Peace Doves’ installation, a work consisting of 10,000 paper doves suspended from the Cathedral tower.
Pupils and staff could admire and contemplate the installation whilst the School choir sang the anthem Let My Love Be Heard by Jake Runestad. This beautifully atmospheric piece is often sung in the wake of conflict; the final lines pray for love amidst grief (‘Let my love be heard/Whispering in your wings’).
