In the midst of the festive season, First Form German learners enjoyed a four-day trip to Cologne's famous Christmas Markets. They explored the city, trying out different sporting activities in an interactive tour around Cologne Sports Museum, and sampling typical German treats at the Weihnachtsmarkt (Christmas Market) on Rudolfsplatz.
Nothing however could conjure up the festive spirit better than a visit to the Lindt Chocolate Museum, except perhaps lunch at the Markt der Engel (Market of Angels) with crispy deep-fried potato spirals. Pupils also climbed the 533 steps to the top of Cologne’s famous gothic Cathedral to admire the stunning views across the city.
