This weekly club for First, Second and Third Form pupils explores the geographical world in new and exciting ways. Currently, we are building model squatter settlements to raise awareness of the conditions that some people around the world live in. Like in real favelas and shanty towns, pupils are using recyclable materials to build sustainable villages representing real locations around the world including Rio de Janeiro and Khayelitsha. Plans for later in the year include volcano building, cake erosion, debates, documentaries and edible earthquake proof buildings.
