LUNCHTIME CONCERTS

We have had a very musical past few weeks at St Albans School with a series of lovely lunchtime concerts!

The first featured three of our pianists playing pieces by Messaien, Mozart and a mash-up between Johann Pachelbel and Maroon 5.

In the second concert, pupils and staff were treated to an incredible piano recital by Upper Sixth Former Peter. The performance forms part of his EPQ.

Th recital was also raising money for Cancer Research UK. This charity is particularly apt as two of the three composers played (Debussy and Brahms) died of cancer.

Finally, it was a pleasure to see our pupils perform in a special one hour concert in the beautiful St Albans Cathedral.

Pupils, staff, and locals enjoyed listening to works by Beethoven, Mozart, Shostakovich, and Brahms, as well as a composition by our Head of School John-Ellis.
