We recently hosted our annual Lady Rosalind Runcie Memorial Masterclass and Concert. It was a pleasure to invite two musicians from St Albans High School for Girls and leading contemporary pianist Rolf Hind.
Peter played 'Reflets dans l'eau' by Debussy and Henry played 'Regard de l’étoile' by Messaien, a piece Hind had played in concert only last week!
Hind praised Peter for his 'beautiful' playing and enjoyed Henry's 'interesting and radical' interpretation, one which created a palpable tension in the Hall, almost like a horror film soundtrack.
