IN THE SPOTLIGHT

From Andrew Lloyd-Webber’s latest stage work to his very first, the First Form performed the original school version of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat on Wednesday 12 October in the Hall. The audience greatly enjoyed the lively and colourful piece with lyrics by Sir Tim Rice (OA 1963). The First Form performed with gusto and were excited by the opportunity to take to the stage. A highlight was our mystery guest (revealed to be Mr Craig conducting the choir) dressed in the amazing technicolour coat!

Meanwhile, the School Musical School of Rock has been cast and rehearsals are underway. With a huge cast of characters, some of whom play instruments live on stage, this is an ambitious and exciting production. Tickets are available here, reserve them quickly to avoid disappointment!

Even if you’re not involved in these productions, the Music Department encourage everyone (staff and pupils) to consider joining the Choir – you can come and try for a week before making a commitment. Rehearsals are Mondays 4.10-5.50pm, with regular opportunities to sing in the Abbey.
