ECONOMICS TRIP TO PRAGUE
22 Lower Sixth Form pupils and four members of staff travelled to Prague in the last week of the Easter break to broaden their understanding of A Level Economics. The trip included a visit to the Museum of Communism, a lecture on the specifics of the Czech economy, and a four-hour walking tour of Prague, where we visited Prague Castle and the old town. The highlight of the trip was a day-long visit to the Škoda factory plant in Mladá Boleslav where the group walked along the live production line where Škoda Octavia cars were being made.
Mrs D’Arcy would like to thank Mr Webb, Mr Rindfleisch and Nurse Jemma for helping on the trip and being such good company, along with the Lower Sixth Form pupils who never lost their sense of humour despite a very early start at 4am from Woollams!
Mrs A D'ArcyTeacher of Economics
Seeing of the production chain in real life at the ŠKODA factory helped me gain a deeper understanding of how the production chain works in economics.
I enjoyed the walking tour of Prague, where we saw monuments like the famous Castle and tried chimney cakes!
