PRIZEGIVING
Earlier this week we celebrated the achievements of pupils in our annual Prizegiving ceremony, held in the St Albans School Cathedral. This is an occasion to recognise outstanding effort, be it in academic progress, co-curricular commitment or in exemplifying our School values.
The speaker this year was High Sheriff Annie Brewster JP and Upper Sixth Former Albert performed music from Strauss's Theme and Variations Op.13.
In honour of our late Director of Music, Mick Stout, the School has created the Mick Stout Cup. The award recognises a pupil's outstanding contribution to Music, and this year was awarded to Charlotte De Stasio (OA 2024).
We also inaugurated the Gillespie Cup for our former Headmaster Jonathan Gillespie. The cup recognises outstanding commitment to, and achievement in, both the academic and co-curricular life of the School, and this year was awarded to Alana De Caires (OA 2024).
