CCF SUMMER CAMP
The CCF deployed to Altcar Training Camp at the beginning of the summer holidays and enjoyed two days live firing on ranges, qualifying over a third of the cadets as both marksmen and advanced marksmen.
They then went onto sweep the board in the military skills competition, including setting a new record for the flipping of a tractor tyre as part of the physical challenge, alongside the obstacle course.
They also took part in first aid training, laser clay shooting and archery. As well as this, there was a full day of tactics and blank firing, culminating in a platoon attack with pyrotechnics and a live enemy who was keen to fight back.
Their was some excellent leadership on display from the Under Officer and his senior cadets and the overall performance of the contingent placed them runners up for best contingent on camp.
