INAUGURAL MICK STOUT MEMORIAL MASTERCLASS
We recently hosted our inaugural Mick Stout Memorial Masterclass, an evening in which five of our Sixth Form vocalists were coached by professional singer Lawrence Broomfield - all in front of a live audience!
Our soloists chose songs from their favourite musicals in honour of Mick Stout's love of musical theatre, and during the masterclass they were advised on how to let go of themselves as singers and inhabit the psychology of the character they were portraying, leading to powerful performances by our pupils.
The event concluded with a fabulous musical theatre medley from Lawrence Broomfield's students with highlights including performances of ‘Thrills of Love’ and ‘Portrait of a Disney Princess’.
