FIRST FORM ANIMAL WORKSHOP
Some unusual visitors crawled and slithered their way into a First Form Science lesson, accompanied by Biologist Mr Khan!
Amongst the visitors was a Leopard gecko and a Milk snake, a harmless reptile not to be confused with its lookalike, the venomous Coral snake. The star of the show however was a Panther chameleon whom the First Form witnessed changing colours from a beautiful blue-green to deeper reds and orange.
Contrary to popular belief, the colour-changing of the chameleon is not an attempt to blend into its environment, but rather an expression of the chameleon's mood. Pupils also learnt that a Leopard gecko's tongue can extend out faster than an F1 car!
Overall, it was a fascinating session, full of fun facts and inquisitive questions from the First Form.
