VISITING GREECE

Over half term, pupils from the Third, Fourth, and Lower Sixth Forms enjoyed a week of unbroken sunshine visiting some of the most important classical sites in Greece.

Their adventure began in Athens with a visit to the Acropolis, home of the Parthenon, followed by walks through the historic Agora and Plaka districts.

In Olympia, students marvelled at the renowned Statue of Zeus, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, and visited the original site of the Olympic Games. They even participated in a friendly race on the ancient running track, retracing the steps of early Greek athletes.
