TRIP TO GURDWARA

Our Second Form pupils, along with members of the Sikh Faith Society, visited the Guru Maneyo Granth Gurdwara, the largest Gurdwara in the UK.

They engaged in three insightful workshops, in which they explored Sikh identity, beliefs and history. Students also observed a worship service, participated in a community langar meal, and had the opportunity to ask questions to deepen their understanding.

INTERFAITH EVENT

At last week’s Interfaith Event, pupils and staff had the opportunity to sample some of the cuisine typically eaten at different religious festivals. Pupils from each of our Faith Societies (Christian, Hindu, Jewish, Muslim and Sikh) presented on how they celebrate different holy days, quizzing the audience on their knowledge, and inviting comparisons between different traditions.
