Over the festive break a group of Fourth, Fifth and Sixth Formers, accompanied by our German teachers, enjoyed a Christmas trip to Hamburg. They visited lots of Christmas markets, saw the city sights, sampled local traditional treats and purchased special souvenirs.
A trip highlight was visiting Miniatur Wunderland, the world’s largest model railway, where they marvelled at miniature wonders like planes taking off, cars racing at Monte Carlo, and ships braving storms at the North Pole! The group also enjoyed a harbour cruise at Europe’s second-largest port and sat alongside gigantic container ships, opulent cruise liners, and the iconic Elbphilharmonie, soaking in Hamburg's maritime charm. They finished off by visiting the famous Fish Market. This fun, festive trip was a great start to the Christmas holidays!
