The Paper Birds returned once more this year to lead an engaging workshop for Fourth Form drama students, focusing on creating original work from the ground up. Over the course of the two-hour session, students delved into stylised movement, the integration of verbatim text, and various vocal techniques to explore different storytelling forms.
The workshop emphasised the importance of spontaneity, encouraging students to move beyond the pursuit of perfection and embrace the process of trial and error. This approach fostered a sense of freedom in the rehearsal space, empowering students to contribute their ideas openly and collaborate more effectively as a group.
