STEPHEN HAWKING LECTURE

Our very own Dr Donovan Young, presented on the topic, The force of Gravity is really weird (and may not even be a force). Dr Young is not only a teacher of mathematics, but also a highly trained and experienced physicist and researcher. He received his PhD from the University of British Columbia in 2007, where he worked on string theory and its relationship with quantum field theory. Additionally, he has held postdoctoral positions in Berlin, Copenhagen, Stockholm, and at Queen Mary University of London.

EPQ PRESENTATIONS

Sixth Formers Matthew and Hanzalah presented their Extended Project Qualification research. Matthew discussed the impact of ageing on vocal chords, and Hanzalah questioned whether genetics is the most important factor in the making of a world class athlete.
