In addition to survival skills, the cadets participated in fieldcraft exercises, replicating a night-vision and sound-location lesson taught to officer cadets during their first term at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. They also honed their marksmanship skills with airsoft weapons, providing a realistic platform to practice military tactics.
Throughout the exercise, the cadets demonstrated exceptional resilience in tough conditions, with several Senior Cadets stepping up as Section Commanders and 2ICs (Second-in-Command). These Senior Cadets displayed outstanding leadership, embodying the Army's core values - particularly that of selfless commitment.
The directing staff at Tangier Wood praised the cadets for their positive attitude and unwavering cheerfulness. Special mention goes to Henry in Fifth Form, who despite his relatively limited experience, took on the role of additional Section Commander. Henry’s leadership helped guide his section to an impressive second-place finish in the section competition.
