Just in time for Valentines Day, all Spanish pupils from the Second to Fourth Forms enjoyed a performance of Primera Cita – First Date, by professional visiting actors from Onatti. Pitched at an appropriate level, we saw how Carlos and María nervously arranged a place and time for their date and decided what to wear. The performance was an entertaining opportunity for pupils to fully immerse themselves in the language and even interact with the actors.
Creativity and collaboration skills were tested in the Spanish classrooms following the play, as the pupils have worked in groups to imagine a segunda cita, others have written an alternative ending, quizzed Carlos on the date and written romantic letters to María.
