Sixty Fourth Form pupils enjoyed a day of lectures at the GCSE Science Live in London Apollo Victoria Theatre. Talks were given by many well respected scientists, including Professor Robert Winston's talk on fertility, Dr Helen Czerski's talk on the deep seas, and Professor Sophie Scott's talk on the science of laughter. Professor Jim Al-Khalili proposed the prospect of time travel, and the day concluded with a spectacular chemical performance from Professor Andrea Sella and the chemistry of why zebras have stripes.
Pupils and staff had a great time and expanded their learning linked to the GCSE curriculum. A big thanks to Dr Scott, Miss Goldie, Mrs Smith, Mrs Wood and Mr Houston-Luck for supporting with the trip.
