A meaningful day of remembrance and reflection for our school community. Pupils across the School took part in a series of activities to commemorate Victory in Europe Day. Lessons explored the significance of VE Day, with some pupils writing speeches on why this day should be remembered. Sixth Form History students hosted a mini street party, sharing wartime artefacts and discussing the long-term impact of the war on society. Pupils also enjoyed traditional fairy cakes as part of their celebrations!
Beyond the school gates, alumnus Major Paul Marriott (OA 2005) took part in the national VE Day service at Westminster Abbey.
