This week, our First Form enjoyed their very first PSHEE Day, with the theme Surviving and Thriving at St Albans School. The day was designed to help pupils settle into school life, build confidence, and develop important skills for their wellbeing and growth.
The morning began with words of wisdom from some of our Second Form pupils, who shared their own experiences and offered practical advice on making the most of school life. This was followed by an engaging activity focused on friendship, helping pupils to reflect on what makes a good friend and how to build positive relationships. A highlight of the morning was the Resilience Workshop led by Positivity You, encouraging students to think about how to face challenges with optimism and strength. Pupils also took part in workshops led by St Albans School staff exploring our school values and the importance of diversity in our community.
After a busy morning, the afternoon sessions turned to practical life skills. Our catering company, Accent Catering, delivered a hands-on healthy eating workshop, showing pupils how to make nutritious choices every day. Finally, the students learnt a vital skill for life, CPR, equipping them with knowledge that could one day help save lives. It was a full and rewarding day, and we are proud of how enthusiastically our First Form approached every session. We look forward to seeing them continue to thrive at
St Albans School.
