We enjoyed the second annual Mick Stout Memorial Masterclass, an evening dedicated to promoting excellence in singing and stagecraft. We welcomed singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Iain Hornal as our coach. Iain shared some fantastic advice with our singers and used his experience as a highly in demand session singer, musician, and songwriter with the likes of 10 CC, ELO, and Take That. After the interval, Iain treated the audience to a wonderful set of songs he’s written, covers by bands he’s worked with, and even welcomed an old friend, and one of our guitar teachers, Mr Roberts to the stage to join him for some duets. Iain spoke of his friendship with Mr Stout and reminded us fondly of his passion for bring musicians together and nurturing and inspiring so many pupils’ early careers in Music.
Mr Craig would like to thank all involved and now has the unenviable task of finding another legend for next year’s event!
