Well done to Form 4.6 for organising their yearly cake sale to sponsor Kelvin from Sierra Leone. Together they raised an impressive £372.90! The Fourth Form class has been sponsoring him for ten years and this yearly event is not only fun but also enables them to raise the money needed for the monthly sponsorship plus extra donations. Present were cookies, doughnuts, cakes, Christmas music and a special guest... Thank you to everyone for their generosity and for making the event so successful!
We were delighted to kick-off the Christmas celebrations with the Lower Sixth Charity Challenge group's Christmas Jumper Day on Tuesday 13 December. All staff and pupils were invited to wear their funkiest Christmas jumper all day and donate £2 for this fundraising event. The Lower Sixth Charity Challenge groups are raising money for two charities this year, Mind in Herts and Crohn’s and Colitis UK.
This Christmas we are supporting the charity Goods for Good. This is a UK based charity, which sends goods generously donated by individuals in the UK to vulnerable communities around the world. Warm clothing is a necessity that many won’t be able to afford this year. Pupils and staff donated a great amount of warm clothing which will help to make a difference to those who need it.
