On 17 December, 26 students from Second Form to Upper Sixth Form participated in a 12-hour continuous indoor hockey game to raise funds to support the subsidising of the sports trips this coming year. Playing for 40-minute blocks of time, the pupils showed tremendous stamina and skill to maintain competitive action from 8am to 8pm. As well as raising money, the event was good fun and helped bring all the hockey players from different year groups together through this shared endurance challenge.
The final sum raised is not yet clear, but the participants should be commended for their fortitude and resilience in raising these funds. The final score was 136 to 130 in favour of the Blue team.

The Third Form attended in big numbers with over 30 participants on both days and the Fourth Form squad got plenty of good practice as well. The Seniors were equally well supported with over 30 players present for each session.
