Hockey

The U12 and U13 A and B teams played fixtures against Aldwickbury School last weekend. The U12s have all started their hockey journeys this term and have made rapid progress in learning the skills, rules and tactics of this new game. The coaches are really pleased with the progress and rate of learning of the pupils. The U13s had a highly competitive end-to-end fixture with Aldwickbury School and continue to refine and develop their skills and understanding. They have made great progress in developing a wider range of skills and applying them more consistently this term and it is exciting to watch their improvement. Over 30 Second Formers attend training every Wednesday and the challenge has been getting enough matches and game time for them.

Football

The U16, U15 and U14 footballers enjoyed competitive fixtures against Roundwood Park School. The spirit in which the games were played was wonderful to see with all sides enjoying the chance to play on the School’s fantastic pitches. The U16’s, who are a team that have many players involved in hockey fixtures, are showing progress with every game. The U15’s, who are probably the strongest footballing year in the School, showed they have plenty of strength. The U14’s, who have only just come together as a team, look promising. However, this occasion showed that missed chances will cost you dearly!

LACROSSE

Well done to the girls for a highly energetic performance in a game with Berkhamsted School on Saturday. There was far more fluidity between the team, some outstanding drives to goal and exceptional defence. They have grown a lot as a team in such a short period of time.
