GCSE Exam Performances and Middle School Drama Club Performance
Congratulations to all our GCSE Drama students on their engaging and thoughtful performances for the Performance from Text exam. Students showed tremendous support for one another and were a patient audience in what became a very stuffy studio!
The Middle School Drama Club performed a one-act version of Treasure Island by R L Stevenson adapted by Todd Espeland. The story is about a young boy named Jim Hawkins who goes on a dangerous adventure to recover buried treasure. Along the way, he encounters mutinous pirates, marooned castaways, frightening tales of ghosts, and much more. It was a great opportunity for pupils to take their production to the stage at the Welwyn Youth Drama Festival at The Barn Theatre on 7 March. They gave a highly energetic and colourful performance.
