Our School community is deeply saddened by the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. A special Full Assembly was held on the morning after her passing to remember Her Late Majesty, to give thanks for her long and faithful service and to hold King Charles III and the Royal Family in our thoughts and prayers.
A solemn Funeral March was performed by four of our brass musicians and two percussionists during last Friday's Abbey assembly, ahead of The Queen’s Funeral on Monday. The players performed a stirring rendition of Purcell’s Funeral Music for Queen Mary, first performed over 300 years ago at Mary II’s funeral.
