The Music Department is excited to have started the new term with Choir and Ensemble rehearsals, including a newly expanded String Orchestra and a return to full Orchestra after several years of a smaller Chamber Orchestra-sized ensemble. They are currently preparing music for the Autumn Concert, including some Dances by Debussy and extracts from The Nutcracker for us all to look forward to.
Several new Chamber Groups have also joined long-running ensembles such as the Clarinet Ensemble and the Brass Groups, including a brand new Early Music Ensemble.
All musical pupils and staff are very much encouraged to participate. Join us in the Hall 4.10-5.50pm on Mondays for Choir, or 4.10-5.50pm on Tuesdays for instrumental Ensembles. Alternatively, email our Acting Head of Music Mr Young if there’s anything you would like to discuss.
