Our annual Christmas party for the elderly

Last week, the School was filled with joy and festive spirit as we hosted a special LinkAges Christmas party for 75 senior citizens from six local care homes and some nearby luncheon clubs.

The event was a wonderful opportunity for elderly residents to come together in celebration, enjoy a delicious tea, and participate in an afternoon of festive activities. Guests were treated to beautiful readings, followed by a lively carol singing session, led by our talented school choir.

This Christmas gathering is just one of many events organized by our Sixth Form pupils as part of our Partnership and Community Link Programme. Through this initiative, each week our students support local care homes, charity shops, and primary schools, making a positive impact on our community throughout the year.

We would like to thank all our Sixth Form pupils for their time and effort in making this annual event such a success.

It’s so lovely to enjoy a wonderful afternoon tea and see some old friends. I always look forward to it!

For many people this is a chance to go out and enjoy some Christmas festivities together. It’s so kind of the School to run this event for the local community.
