History Podcast Club

Some of our Fourth and Fifth Form pupils recently launched the History Podcast Club, History Unplugged, and have recorded the first few episodes. Podcast club runs weekly and pupils meet in the Gateway to research topics of their choosing before recording in the Music Studio. It is led by a group of Fifth Formers who see this as an opportunity to explore areas of History GCSE in much greater depth. They have framed the recordings as a revision guide to help their year and future generations.

So far the group has explored the League of Nations anti-slavery commission and conducted an overview of piracy through different ages. While they have touched on these subjects, these episodes have greatly enriched their understanding of these topics. Click below to listen to the first couple of episodes that have been recorded.
